Gaia vs. World Creator vs. Terrain Composer!! Which is the best terrain generator?
So, I'm looking to make a game with many different planets, and I'm totally fine with each planet being a big square of terrain (which I would go in later and add in outposts, cities, etc.). Does anybody have experience with these different terrain generators? For me, the important things are:
I want to be able to add a mountain here, or a canyon there, easily. In other words, it can't be 100% procedural.
I'd like the ability to add custom caverns. From the demos I've watched, all three of these seem to conveniently skip caverns.
It would be nice if anything I add to the game can easily be incorporated into the LOD system.
If anyone has experience with one or more of these, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks in advance!!
